ลูกทุ่ง
Luk Thung, or Thai country music, is a popular genre reflecting the daily life, struggles, and aspirations of the rural Thai working class. It is characterized by poetic, often melancholic lyrics, distinct vocal vibrato, and a blend of traditional Thai folk elements with Western pop, rock, and Latin influences.

Era: Emerging in the 1940s and 1950s, reaching its peak popularity in the 1970s and continuing to evolve into modern pop-infused subgenres today.
