Heart Unfolding

In the silence I awaken to a warmer skyLetting go of what once held me down

I used to chase the comfort of familiar painNow I walk through open doors I used to fearEvery scar becomes a map that leads me higherBreathing in the freedom that was always near

The weight I carried slowly turns to wingsI feel the pull of something real and true

I’m growing, loving who I’m meant to beRising soft and steady, setting myself freeHeart unfolding like a secret finally toldThis is my becoming, body, mind and soul

I touch the edges of a love that starts withinLet the rhythm of my own breath guide the wayNo more hiding from the fire in my skinI’m learning how to stay and not just run away

I’m growing, loving who I’m meant to beRising soft and steady, setting myself freeHeart unfolding like a secret finally toldThis is my becoming, body, mind and soul

Through every tender moment I discover moreOf the woman I was always born to loveNo longer waiting for a perfect signI’m already whole beneath the open sky

I’m growing, blooming in the light I foundStronger with each step upon this groundThis is my becoming, endless and profound
