Burning Carnival Spirit
Ignite Masquerade Steel
Steelpan
About
Vibrant steelpan melodies weave through layers of tuned percussion in this acoustic live steelband recording, capturing the syncopated calypso groove of Trinidad Carnival. Polyphonic arrangements build dynamically with tenor and bass pans leading festive marches, punctuated by rhythmic congas and cowbells for an unamplified street energy. A soaring solo highlights the metallic resonance, evoking communal uplift and endless celebration.
Lyrics
Rise up, feel the fire ignite Hearts awaken in the night
Crowds are swirling, painted bright Secrets dancing out of sight Laughter spilling, pure delight Every step a wild flight
Carnival spirit, burning so true Pull us together, me and you Jump and sway, let the feeling through Carnival spirit, forever new
Feathers flying, drums command Hands are reaching, join the band Lost in motion, take my hand Endless party across the land
Carnival spirit, burning so true Pull us together, me and you Jump and sway, let the feeling through Carnival spirit, forever new
Slow it down, then build it high Souls colliding in the sky One big wave, we never say goodbye
Carnival spirit, burning so true Pull us together, me and you Jump and sway, let the feeling through Carnival spirit, forever new
Carnival spirit, burning so true Pull us together, me and you Jump and sway, let the feeling through Carnival spirit, forever new
Fade into the dawn's first hue Carnival spirit lives in you
