About
This soulful blues track unfolds over a classic 12-bar progression, laced with expressive guitar bends and blue notes that pierce the heart, evoking raw emotion in every gritty vocal line. Call-and-response patterns between the weathered male vocals and harmonica weave through syncopated rhythms, building to a cathartic guitar solo that mirrors the journey from despair to renewal. Produced with an unpolished, live-room warmth, it captures the intimate resilience of Delta blues roots, prioritizing organic instrumentation and vocal grit for an authentic, storm-weathered redemption narrative.
Lyrics
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh Lost my way down a crooked road Chasing shadows that never show I wore my sins like a heavy sword Heavy chainer, the ones who called my name So cold, no fire to mend Wandered blind around the bend Begged the stars for a second chance Fell to my knees In the pouring rain Redemption's light Breaking through the storm Calling me home Where my heart was born Oh, mercy rise Wash these hands Clean from the wreckage Javua I've been redemption Yeah, yeah Set my spirit free Yeah Now the dawn Creeps over the hill Voices so Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh redemption's light breaking through the storm calling me home yeah i'm reborn mercy rise wash these hands clean redemption oh redemption set me free i'm reborn mercy rise wash these hands clean
