Zhabal-e Rubab

About

Virtuosic rubab lead unfurls intricate melodic runs and microtonal ornamentations over steady tabla percussion, emphasizing the rich acoustic resonance of the instrument's body and strings. Drone tones and syncopated strumming create rhythmic improvisation in a live acoustic capture, evoking solemn Pashtun heritage. The ethereal vibe transports listeners to the rugged landscapes of Afghanistan and Pakistan.
