Whispers from the Divide

In the midnight hour when shadows creep so low I cried out to the heavens where the weary rivers flow Burdens heavy on my shoulders like a storm that won't subside But your whisper in the thunder pulled me back from the divide Oh, hallelujah, break these chains of grace Redeemed by the blood, lifted from my place Sing it with me, let the haste fire burn In the darkest night Lead us to fly Hallelujah, rise and testify From the ashes of my failures, where the broken dreams once lay You called my name like thunder, turned my night into the day No more wandering in the wilderness, no more chains that bind my soul Your mercy, like a river, makes the wounded spirit whole Hallelujah Hallelujah Break these chains of grace Redeemed by the blood Lifted from my place Sing it with me, let the haste fire burning In the darkest night Lead us to fly Hallelujah, rise and testify Oh, the testimony echoes Through the valleys and the peaks From the slave songs of our fathers To the freedom that we seek No power on this earth Can silence the redeemed hearts Cry in your arms We're victors lifting every soul on high Oh, Lord, have your way Oh, hallelujah, break these chains of grace Redeemed by the blood Lifted from my place Sing it with me, let the haste fire burning In the darkest night It's to fly Hallelujah, rise and testify Rise and testify Rise and testify Hallelujah, rise and testify
