Lyrics
I chased the winds that led me astray Lost in the storm night after endless day But mercy whispered through the thunder's roar Through the thunder's roar I broke forth on that weary shore Oh, hallelujah Chains are broken free Redeemed by grace His love sets me free From the valley low to the mountain high Jesus calls my name, I testify Sing it with me, let your spirit rise In his holy fire We touch the skies I remember the tears like rivers wide Sins that chained me, pulling me under But the Savior's hand reached across the tide Lifting me up from the grave's dark thunder Now my heart beats with a rending vine Testifying his power Forever mine Oh, hallelujah Chains are broken free Redeemed by grace His love sets me free From the valley low to the mountain high Jesus calls my name, I testify Sing it with me, let your spirit rise In his holy fire We touch the skies Peter
